Jayasundara Ganga Lalani

I am a person who want to become an active member in academic and economic forums and take an initiative to share my knowledge and professional experience with other members while supporting towards national and international development processing through individual and group efforts. I hold both undergraduate degree and master’s degree in Economics. I feel very privileged to be a member of the team ECLIPSE as a PhD student. Since 2019, I am a Lecturer in Economics at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. In my academic life I engaged in several professional activities as a team player.

I was born in Anuradhapura, a sacred city and first capital of the ancient time of Sri Lanka where multicultural and multinational people live. I started my primary education from the school of Swarnapali girls’ college in Anuradhapura and secondary education from Central College of Anuradhapura. I enjoyed the school life by engaging in wide range of extra-curricular activities along with the learning process.

Apart from my professional life, I really enjoy engaging in community services. It always inspires me to give my hand to people who needed most and help to get rid their grassroots level problems. I spend my leisure time by watering plants and listen to music. My favourite music tone is coming from the birds at the dawn of the morning. I spend considerable time to do meditation as well. It helps me to concentrate and calm down for any situation i face day today.

I am looking forward to work with the ECLIPSE team to address the issues faced by the people and find solutions with them.
